  Second Hit Parade:

Continuing the tradition, the HMM-362 class of 66-67 also kept score.  This was taken in the Ky Ha ready room.  John "Fang" Longdin is the pilot in the picture.  Notice the leap forward in technology. No longer a reconditioned K-rat carton, the new guys graduated up to painted plexi-glass.  The white object at the top appears to be a template to better mark the stars and hearts.

A correction to the photo. The individual identified as Lt Corley is actually Lt John Miles. John was seriously wounded later in his tour, became a neurosurgeon and, unfortunately, died in his early 40's from thoracic lymphoma. Comments by Bill Murphy.

  "Duke" and "Bravo":

"Duke" and "Bravo" perform their SLJO duties 1/LTs Roger "Duke" Herman and Al "Bravo" Thomas next to their hootch at Marble Mountain in the Spring of 1967.  As junior officers in the squadron (HMM-361) they perform one of their collateral duties after the day's flying.  Here they are tallying up the sorties flown by all the squadron's pilots and aircrew.   The figures will be used for determining credits for air medal awards. The photo is from the squadron's cruise book, "A Tiger's Tale".
